ThreePuttBag Privacy Policy

ThreePuttBag is a golf scoring and social game app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores, why it is used, and the choices available to users.

Information ThreePuttBag stores

ThreePuttBag may store the following information when you use the app:

• Your display name and golf handicap index.
• A randomly generated player identifier and recovery information used to reconnect your profile on another device.
• Your saved player directory, including manually added players and authenticated playing partners.
• Golf round information, including courses, player order, scores, putts, walks, bag ownership, settlements, and completed-round history.
• Temporary join requests and live-round information needed to let players participate in the same round.

ThreePuttBag does not require an email address, phone number, or password to create a player profile.

How information is used

The information above is used only to provide ThreePuttBag features, including profile recovery, player management, live round sharing, scoring, round history, and synchronization between participating devices.

Service providers

ThreePuttBag uses Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, to provide anonymous authentication, cloud synchronization, and storage. Information processed by Firebase is subject to Google's applicable privacy and security practices.

Advertising, tracking, and sale of data

ThreePuttBag does not display third-party advertising, does not sell personal information, and does not use information to track users across other companies' apps or websites.

Data retention and deletion

Profile, player-directory, and round-history information may remain stored so that it can be restored after reinstalling the app or moving to a new device. Temporary live-round and join-request information is used for the operation of those features.

To request deletion of your ThreePuttBag profile or associated cloud data, email the developer at jcw@golfdum.com. A deletion request may remove cloud data that can no longer be recovered.

Security

ThreePuttBag uses platform security features and encrypted network connections provided by Apple, Firebase, and their underlying services. Recovery codes should be treated as private because they can be used to reconnect a ThreePuttBag profile.

Children

ThreePuttBag is not designed to collect information from children for advertising or profiling purposes.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as ThreePuttBag changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
